About Me

Kevin Luke received a diploma in Advanced Piano Technology from the North Bennet Street School in Boston, Massachusetts. The North Bennet Street School has the most prestigious piano technology program in the country. Students begin tuning on the first day of class! The school offers two intensive nine-month courses.  The first course covers aural(ear) tuning, upright and grand action regulation and repair.  The second course includes advanced tuning and regulation as well as complete restoration and rebuilding of the piano.  Kevin was taught by highly respected instructors Chris Lovegren, RPT, Jack Stebbins, RPT, Debbie Cyr, RPT and David Betts, RPT.

In 2007, Kevin had an internship at Interlochen Center for the Arts summer arts camp as a piano technician.  While in Boston he worked at Boston University's College of Fine Arts's, under the supervision of Martin Snow.

Although no longer a member, Kevin has passed examinations for becoming a Registered Piano Technician (RPT) through the Piano Technicians Guild.

Kevin began tuning and servicing pianos in central Pennsylvania in May of 2008.  He tunes exclusively by ear using a tuning fork to ascertain pitch.  He provides all aspects of piano tuning, repair and maintenance from annual tunings to complete rebuilds.
